Properly bottled and sealed pure maple syrup should be stored in a cool, dry, dark place and will keep for up to one year and most times longer. Maple syrup can also be frozen indefinitely – it will not harden, though, due to the high sugar content. Once opened, syrup should be stored in the refrigerator and used within six months of opening.
